OnePlus 6 Leaked Case Renders Give A Close Look At The Upcoming Flagship Killer

OnePlus 6 is still pretty much a secret, but its design may have just been leaked by a case maker.

Olixar recently made its OnePlus 6 cases available for pre-orders on MobileFun. While that may seem an innocent enough move, the renders they provided are showing the case on the phone itself. Some of these are clear cases, revealing what the back of the phone looks like.

Those who are interested can get these for as low as $7.49 for the gel cases to $35.49 for a 360-degree protection with a tough case and a tempered glass.

OnePlus 6 Design Takes Inspiration From The iPhone X

The front-side features the infamous notch from the iPhone X on an otherwise bezel-less display. At the back, it's apparent that OnePlus shied away from the dual-camera set-up of the OnePlus 5T. The two cameras are now in the middle in a vertical arrangement, with the flash right below it and above the fingerprint sensor.

Overall, the new flagship looks pretty similar to the Samsung Galaxy S9's rear design and the iPhone X's front design.

Olixar's renders corroborate previous leaks, including the one from OnePlus' teaser campaign. When the Chinese company teased it in a photo of the OnePlus 6 below the OnePlus 5T, fans noticed that it has a glass back and the alert slider is missing from the left side. A SIM card slot is in its place instead, and the antenna band is restricted to the frame.

OnePlus 6 Specifications Reveal A Powerhouse

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that OnePlus 6 will be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset, up to 8 GB RAM, and 256 GB of internal storage. Other leaks suggested that a different version might be coming with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, and it also revealed that the rear camera will have 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensors, both with an f/1.5 aperture.

The camera specifications are exactly those of the OnePlus 5T, but it seems that the front camera has been upgraded to 20 megapixels with an f/2.0 aperture. The leak also noted the AMOLED screen size to be at 6.28 inches and the battery capacity at 3,450 mAh.

The release date is yet unknown, but industry observers are positive that the OnePlus 6 is coming soon with half the price of an iPhone X. Rumors suggest that it will be revealed on May 5, but some believe that they may not see it until June. Either way, more details will be revealed upon launch.
