We have all seen those commercials that test a tampon's absorbing properties by dumping it in a bowl of blue liquid. Did you ever wonder what that blue stuff was? Well, here is a little known fact: it's actually everyone's favorite sports drink. Yeah that's right, blue Gatorade comes out of women—at least according to these men.
In a hilarious tampon commercial parody, YouTube channel Hammerkatz Nyu released a new video that shows exactly how little men know about periods. "Tampon Commercial Presented by Men" already has close to 40,000 views since its upload on Tuesday.
The parody commercial features women talking about their periods and giving information that is so perfectly wrong. Apparently men think vaginas come in all sizes and shapes which include: tall, short, round, square, or "shaped like a weird ghost."
The commercial opens with a disclaimer saying that this message was brought to us from an all-male advertising team at Tampax. Two fitness enthusiasts stretching open the commercial, saying that they choose Tampax, the perfect tampon "for when that thing happens."
"That thing is periods. Periods in the vagina and the uterus," one of the women says. According to men, women need a dependable tampon so they can scoop up the eggs that come pouring out of them so they can having babies.
Apparently, Tampax is women's best friend, absorbing our blood, sweat and tears, and keeps our bodies warm when we are cold.
The sad truth is, the majority of people running tampon companies are men. (Ever see those tampon commercials where women are dancing in white?) Check out the video below for some laughs (and maybe some tears).
