If you've been hankering for the HTC-made Nexus 9 tablet from Google, then you're in luck as U.S. carrier T-Mobile is now offering the device.
T-Mobile is the first network operator in the U.S. to offer the 4G LTE variant of the Nexus 9 tablet for $599.76 all-in. Alternately, consumers can opt for the $0 down plus $24.99 per month option for the next two years. In the event a consumer cancels their plan mid-way, he/she will have to shell out the remaining balance on the tablet.
T-Mobile started retailing the 4G LTE variant of the Nexus 9 from its "Underground" website from Friday, Dec. 12.
T-Mobile is also offering some nifty tablet plans- which it claims are the best in the business - such as free 200MB of data every month for "the life of the device." The caveat being that the deal is only valid till the time use the Nexus 9 with T-Mobile.
Subscribers who want more and are willing to shell out an additional $10 every month can add the Nexus 9 to T-Mobile's "Simple Choice" voice plan, which will let them match the data to up to 5GB per month that can be used only on the tablet.
For the uninitiated, the Nexus 9 sports an 8.9-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels (281 ppi).
Weighing 45gms, the device is the first tablet to run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and houses a powerful 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor clocked at 2.5GHz and 2GB of RAM. The Nexus 9 also has a 6,700 mAh battery that offers support for nearly six hours of continuous video streaming on Wi-Fi. The LTE variant comes with 32GB memory, whereas the Wi-Fi versions are available in 16GB and 32GB options.
The Nexus 9 also has a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera for all your selfie needs and for video chatting, and an 8-megapixel primary camera with in-built flash. The tablet also has two front-facing speakers with HTC BoomSound.
