Do you still have your beard left over from Movember and don't know what to do with it? Well, don't shave it off just yet. It's going to be an essential part of your holiday celebrations.
News of Beard Baubles hit the Internet recently, and they are amazing. Beard Baubles are pretty much exactly what they sound like, little ornaments that you can hang from your beard this holiday season, as if it was a Christmas tree. You can even put a gold star atop your head for extra points.
Mike Kennedy and Pauline Ashford, who work at the ad agency Grey London, came up with the idea for Beard Baubles as a way of raising money for the Australian charity Beard Season, which aims to raise awareness for melanoma by encouraging men to get their skin checked and grow beards, according to Mashable. Beard Baubles were available for purchase online for 7 pounds, which is about $11, but they've apparently caught so much attention, that they've all sold out. But don't worry, because more Beard Baubles should be added to the store within the next week.
Instead of attaching these little ornaments with those hooks as you do on a Christmas tree, they actually attach like little bobby pins. And what better way to add some more Christmas cheer to your life than wearing Beard Baubles? November might be the so-called month for facial hair with the Movember and No-Shave November campaigns, but is there really any time that's more appropriate to grow a full, thick bit of hair on your chinny chin chin than December? Santa Claus, hello.
Plus, if your apartment is too small for a Christmas tree or other decorations, you now have somewhere to show your Christmas spirit and prove you're not a Scrooge. You can also affix these Beard Baubles to any type of hair really, so even those who don't have facial hair can get in on the fun. Everybody wins!
