Elon Musk's Zombie Apocalypse Flamethrower Has Made $7 Million

Elon Musk's flamethrower is the life of the party, right now. The Boring Company's flamethrower has made $7 million in sales, selling 15,000 units by this morning.

Musk's Flamethrowers Preorder Sold 15,000 Units, Earning $7 Million

Musk's flamethrowers became available to preorder on Saturday morning, Jan. 27, and sold 1,000 units within the first three hours. It didn't take long for that number to reach 6,000 units. The Tesla CEO said the flamethrowers were not only guaranteed to "liven up any party" but are good for roasting nuts. Now the company has sold 15,000 units, earning $7 million by Jan. 30.

Musk's Flamethrower Is Perfect For Fighting Off Hordes Of Zombies

Musk made the perfect selling point that the flamethrower would make a great weapon for fighting off hordes of zombies during the zombie apocalypse.

"When the zombie apocalypse happens, you'll be glad you bought a flamethrower," said Musk. "Works against hordes of the undead or your money back!"

Some People Want To Use The Flamethrower With Creme Brûlée

What other reasons would people want to buy Musk's flamethrower for $500? Some of Musk's Twitter followers joked around about seeing the flamethrower in action while melting sugar on creme brûlée, a dessert made of rich custard topped with caramelized sugar.

"Can you please demonstrate the effectiveness of the flamethrower for finishing creme brûlée? This is an essential function that I need," a Twitter user said. Musk agreed to demonstrate the flamethrower on creme brûlée, but only time will tell if the Tesla CEO is serious about showing off a new demo.

Some People Are Hesitant When Buying The Flamethrower

While some people were quick to preorder The Boring Company's flamethrower, others were a bit hesitant.

"I mean sure I'll preorder. This feels illegal doe...," said Marques Brownlee.

"ATF says any flamethrower with a flame shorter than 10 ft is A-ok. Our design is max fun for least danger. I'd be way more scared of a steak knife," musk responded.

The Boring Company is also selling a separate fire extinguisher for $30 through its official website.

"I tried convincing my mother that I needed a flamethrower to make amazing crème brulées and stay safe from Elon's zombies - no dice," said another Twitter user. "She says canadian zombies are polite and reminded me that I am lactose intolerant."

Where does that lead the rest of us who didn't buy Elon Musk's flamethrower? Only time will tell.
