Google Assistant has been able to play what's new on Netflix, but it's a been challenge when a home has multiple Netflix profiles.
Now Google's virtual assistant can easily match up to six profiles with its updated feature, voice match.
"For Netflix, if you have a personal profile on a Netflix account, you can link your personal profile and set up Voice Match to play content where you left off," the company wrote in new documentation added to its Support page.
How To Use Google Home's Voice Match To Play Netflix
What does it take to get started with Google Assistant's updated voice match feature?
Simply download the Google Home mobile app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices. Once the app launches, users will need to confirm the code on their smartphone is the same one that's on their TV. If so, all that means is users are setting up the correct Chromecast.
In addition, Google also mentioned that users may notice a new list of devices but they aren't voice-supported, just yet. 'These can't currently be linked to your Google Home, but they'll be available soon," said Google.
Select A Location For Google Chromecast
Next, users are asked to select a location for their Chromecast, such as Attic, Backyard, Basement, Bathroom, Bedroom, and Den. Taking this step just helps organize all of the devices in the home.
From there, head on over to More Settings from the main menu, and then go to Videos and Photos. This is where users can attach their Google Assistant to their Netflix profile.
Control Movies And TV Shows Using Voice Commands
When it comes to voice commands, there are plenty of ways Google Assistant can play movies and TV shows on Netflix. For example, to start watching a Netflix Original TV series, such as Orange Is The New Black, voice commands like "Ok Google, Watch Orange Is The New Black on Netflix," can play the hit show, and start where users left off.
Use Voice Commands To Pause, Resume, Stop, And Skip Back
Google Assistant owners also have the ability to pause, resume, stop, and skip back. As well as, turning on/off captions, subtitles, and supported various languages.
