If you thought holiday sales on video games and electronics were over after Black Friday, prepare to be surprised. Microsoft is sweetening an already sweet deal by offering a free game when you purchase an already specially priced Xbox One through the online Microsoft store.
If you happen to be buying the Kinect-less Xbox One Unity bundle, which comes with Assassin's Creed Unity and Assassin's Creed Black Flag, you are in for some big savings. That's three games and an Xbox One for $350. Not too shabby at all.
But this isn't any old free game. Buyers can choose from brand spanking new releases like Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Sunset Overdrive, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Grand Theft Auto V or Dragon Age: Inquisition to go with their console. In fact, 20 games are eligible for the deal when you purchase the Xbox One Unity bundle with ($449) or without the Kinect ($399). You can also choose a free game with the purchase of a refurbished Xbox One bundle that comes with a Kinect, Dance Central Spotlight and Ryse: Son of Rome for $399.
That's a ton of value, especially if you planned on purchasing Assassin's Creed Unity or one of the 20 games eligible for the free offer anyway. With games retailing for $59.99, snagging two brand-new releases for free, and an Xbox One for $50 cheaper than normal, is a great deal. If you've been on the fence about upgrading from the Xbox 360 to next-gen hardware, now might be your best deal yet.
The sale began today as part of Microsoft's 12 days of deals promotion. No word on how long this deal will be lasting or how long supplies will last, so you might want to pull the trigger soon rather than later on your new console. In case if you are wondering, the Microsoft store does offer free shipping and returns.
