What makes a trailer for a blockbuster movie even better? Adding cute animals, of course!
That's why this trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens with puppies and kittens wins the parody award for cutest Star Wars trailer ever.
Created by The Pet Collective, this trailer, which mimics the trailer for the J.J. Abrams film nearly frame by frame, shows us what the new Star Wars film might be like with cats and dogs as the stars. The result is both cute and hilarious.
Called Paw Warz: The Furrce Awakens, this trailer shows us what happens when kittens get light sabers (OK, they're not really light sabers, but laser pointers), as well as the Millennial Roomba, which is obviously a much better spacecraft than its human movie counterpart. If that doesn't make you giggle, take note of the desert of kitty litter on Tattooine.
You can compare it to the actual movie trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens below.
Maybe if J.J. Abrams sees this, he'll think about recasting the film. It's obviously time to add puppies and kittens to films about galaxies far, far away.
The Pet Collective is no stranger to movie parody videos. It's also given us a hilarious rendition of Disney's Frozen, as acted by kittens, along with Titanic and The Notebook. Its also recorded a dog version of Pharell's hit song "Happy" and offered up "All Of Meat," a parody of John Legend's "All of Me."
The new Star Wars trailer, though, has attracted a dozen such parodies, including a LEGO version, a Skyrim version and a Wes Anderson version.
The Pet Collective previously ran a series of Paw Warz videos, showcasing each previous movie as done by animals.
The only question we have left is "Did the kitten shoot first?"
