Here's a story that's guaranteed to warm the hearts of even the most Grinch and Scrooge-like among us.
In the latest clothed animal story that can only be rivaled by the IKEA monkey (remember him?), a sheep wearing an ugly Christmas sweater was found wandering around the streets of Omaha all by his lonesome. Omaha animal control took him in over the weekend and posted on social media to try to find his owner using "#ChristmasSheep."
Lo and behold, a real-life Christmas miracle happened. The sheep, whose name is actually Gage, was reunited with his owner Margaret Vazquez Tuesday night at the Nebraska Humane Society, according to Omaha.com. Vazquez found out the organization had her sheep because a friend of her daughter had heard about the news on social media.

Just a typical day at work when you forget to eat because you're tweeting about a sheep in a sweater #ChristmasSheep pic.twitter.com/Itp28rPF8c

"I was so happy that we got him," Vazquez told Omaha.com. "I was worried that someone would eat him or something bad would happen."
The sheep was actually found only a block away from Vazquez's home. Vazquez told Omaha.com that she believes Gage got out of a fence that was under construction.
Apparently, Gage is quite the fashionista. In addition to wearing an ugly Christmas sweater for the holiday season, he has also dressed up for the Fourth of July and Halloween. Vazquez even plans on decking him out in some New Year's-themed apparel later on this month.
Vazquez told Omaha.com that the family treats Gage just like any other pet. The family also owns two chickens, two cats, a guinea pig and a hamster.
"It's like you dress your dogs up, your cat, but he's just a sheep, that's the only thing that's different," she told Omaha.com.
Ah, how lovely it is to know that Gage is safe and sound and back with his family. But what is still unclear is, is Gage's sweater made out of wool or what?
