The iPhone X has only been in the market for about two months, but T-Mobile has already started offering tempting discounts for Apple's premium smartphone.
There have been reports that analysts expect lower iPhone X shipments in the first quarter of 2018, but at least one analyst thinks that the iPhone X demand is not slowing down. We will not know which one is correct until the quarter ends, but offers such as this one by T-Mobile will keep customers interested in the iPhone X.
T-Mobile Offers $700 iPhone X Discount
T-Mobile unveiled new smartphone deals for new and existing customers, with the highlight being the up to $700 discount for a second iPhone X.
Under T-Mobile's offer, customers who purchase the iPhone X may get up to $700 off on the second iPhone X in the form of a rebate contained in a prepaid card. To avail the discount, customers will have to purchase two units of the iPhone X under the carrier's equipment installment plan and trade in a qualifying smartphone. The customer will then have to submit a request on T-Mobile's Rebates page.
The discount, however, does not only apply to the iPhone X. Customers may also avail the up to $700 off when buying pairs of the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus.
T-Mobile does not stop with the iPhone though, as there are offers on practically all other flagship smartphones on the market. Customers may enjoy an up to $750 discount on a second Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8 Active, and Galaxy S8+. There are also traditional buy one, get one deals for the Galaxy S8 and LG's G6, V20, V30, and V30+.
For customers only looking to purchase one device, T-Mobile is also offering up to $150 off through a trade-in program.
Unlike other carriers who offer rebates and discounts in the form of bill credits spread through monthly payments, T-Mobile sends the full amount in a prepaid MasterCard card a few weeks after availing the promotion.
T-Mobile, Verizon Rivalry Continues
While T-Mobile is challenging all other carriers in the market, the Un-Carrier especially targets Verizon with its #GetOutoftheRed program. Under the program, T-Mobile will take care of up to $650 on the remaining payments for smartphones purchased from Verizon, if customers decide to switch from a Verizon subscription to a T-Mobile ONE or T-Mobile ONE Plus International plan.
T-Mobile has updated the program to also include the Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Google Pixel 2, and Pixel 2 XL.
