Just a few days before CES 2018, LG makes a surprise announcement regarding the LG V30, which is set to get a Raspberry Rose color.
With the new color added, the V30 now offers a total of five color variants. The four colors initially offered were Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, Lavender Violet, Cloud Silver. South Korean markets will get it first, followed by Europe and Asian territories.
Following a recent $150 price cut for the Cloud Silver variant only in the US, it looks like the manufacturer plans to turn it into an attractive purchase before the rumored G7 and G7+ make their debut this weekend.
Taking An Inspiration From Fashion
LG plans to have the new color variant available for attendees during the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show. The manufacturer describes the new shade as "an intense saturated version of red, is a hue quite unlike any previous smartphone color" released by the South Korean company or from other brands.
The firm intends to entice "fashion-conscious smartphone users," as well as position the new product as a possible option for a Valentine's Day gift.
A Possible Surprise
Last month, it was speculated that LG and Samsung are locked in a tight race to debut the first smartphone with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845. Sources claim that LG might debut the G7 and G7+ at CES 2018. This, along with the V30 Raspberry Rose, suggest that the manufacturer could have more in store for the expo.
On the other hand, Samsung is also expected to showcase something new, which could be the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. All of these upcoming models other than the V30 will supposedly flaunt the new chipset model.
Hardware And Specifications
The LG V30 flaunts a premium appearance, thanks to its metallic chassis and fashionable color options. It comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Soc. with a 4GB RAM. A 6-inch P-OLED touchscreen with minimal bezels highlights the front all protected by a sheet of Gorilla Glass 5.
It is powered by a 3,300mAh rechargeable battery that is also compatible with Qi power wireless charging. Primary imaging is handled by a 16-megapixel and 12-megapixel dual-camera, while its B&O Play Hi-Fi Quad DAC enhances its audio output.
Everything is protected by a MIL-STD-810G-rated construction, which rivals other flagship smartphones from the competition.
The Raspberry Rose variant appears to be a welcome addition since consumers prefer to have more options when it comes to gadgets. The new color will be featured by LG at CES 2018.
