With Christmas just around the corner and the New Year rapidly approaching, Google kicked off its 12 days of deals on the Play Store to offer neat discounts for Android users.
The holidays are a time for giving and Google is already in a generous mood. Whether it's about long-time Android users looking to get more stuff from the Play Store, or new users who just got a new Android device for Christmas and they need apps for it, Google's sale includes plenty of goodies.
Google Play Sale: 12 Days Of Play
Called 12 Days of Play, the Google Play Store sale brings heavy discounts on various apps, movies, games, and books. The sale started Dec. 22 and is valid for the rest of this year and the beginning of the new one as it's set to end on Jan. 2, 2018.
Google prepared a number of attractive deals similar to the ones that were available on Black Friday, and the sale is expected to generate great interest. Without further ado, here's what's on offer.
Android Games On Sale
As part of its 12 Days of Play sale, Google is slashing up to 80 percent off the regular price of 20 premium games. Notable titles include Need for Speed Most Wanted, Minecraft Story Mode Season 2, The Game of Life, FRAMED 2, The Room Three, and Sonic Jump Pro, but there are plenty of others as well.
In addition to the games themselves, Google is also discounting various items in freemium games, such as seasonal packs for Pokémon GO, Candy Crush gold bars, gems, and resources for Clash of Clans, and more.
HBO Now At Half Price, Movie Rentals At $0.99
Google's 12 Days of Play also offers 50 percent off the regular price of HBO Now and DisneyLife subscriptions for new customers for three months. Users can also take advantage of movie rentals for just $0.99. The same discounted price also applies to three episodes of a TV show. Movies available to rent at 99 cents include both classics such as Home Alone and new hits such as Wonder Woman and more.
Music Discounts And Freebies
Google is also throwing in four months of ad-free, unlimited music streaming on Google Play Music, but it's only for new subscribers. Other deals include 40 percent off an ad-free subscription for one year on Tunein Radio, which has plenty of audiobooks, podcasts, news, and more.
Discounts on Books
Lastly, Google's 12 Days of Play also offers a $5 credit for any book purchase that's more than $5. This can result in some great prices for many books.
