OnePlus 5T, in its latest avatar, has not let down its fans. Known for its durable quality of handsets at affordable prices, OnePlus has carved a niche for itself in the smartphone market. The much-awaited handset from the company is a remarkable piece of device rightly projecting itself as the standalone flagship from its product line.

The Durability Stronghold
OnePlus 5T really stands out in this department. It can withstand a lot of wear and tear, as the quality of materials used to make it are top notch. The back and front of the smartphone are tough to the core and passes most of the day to day hits on the screen with ease. The Gorilla Glass in this piece of handset remarkably proves its worth.
YouTube channel JerryRigEverything uses the Mohs scale to test the real strength of screen, being scratch resistant to up to 5th level. From 6th level onwards the glass starts to show some scratch marks and fails when it reaches the 7th level.
JerryRigEverything further explores the smartphone for its scratch resistant material. The back of the panel is really good to absorb a lot of blade scratching on the surface. However, a big surprise is the fingerprint scanner at the back panel. It seems that the phone uses ceramic material here, as the fingerprint scanner shows no signs of failure even after been scratched heavily. It was still functional. Full points on that to OnePlus 5T.
The back and front camera lenses are also scratch resistant. The phone comes with a full HD capable recording camera at front and back. It has a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor, with f/1.7 aperture lens.
The volume rocker and the useful mute button did not pass the durability test though. As usual, they are all metal and will break if heavy force is applied on them.
Bend? No Bend!
The phone in this department also wins the hearts of the consumers. OnePlus 5T does not show any signs of bending, even when being tried to bend the middle section of the phone with the full force of hands. There is no crackling sound from the inside as well. Phone is build keeping in mind that its large screen size does not affect its durability and keeps the frame intact under strong force.
Release Date
The phone will go on sale on Nov. 21, 2017, exclusively for Amazon Prime members. By Nov. 28 the phone will be available on the open market for everyone to purchase.
