Amazon Prime Day 2017 is just around the corner and customers who use Alexa to place voice orders will get special deals in addition to the regular ones.
Customers who own an Alexa-enabled device will be able to take advantage of more than 100 exclusive Prime Day deals two hours before the regular sale kicks off, if they use their voice to order the items they want.

Prime Day 2017 takes place on July 11 this year and it's bound to be a massive shopping bonanza for Amazon, as the retailer offers massive discounts on a wide range of items. Alexa voice shoppers interested in exclusive Prime Day deals can ask Alexa for the latest deals starting July 5. To do so, just say "Alexa, what are your deals?" Alexa will present a number of offers.
For now, customers can also get a $10 credit when they order an Alexa deal by July 9, but Amazon notes that it "must be your first order with Alexa." The $10 credit will hit one's Amazon account within three days and will be valid until July 1, 2018.
To voice order something from Amazon, just tell Alexa to order the item. For instance, say "Alexa, order Haribo Gummi Bears." Prime Day lasted for just one day in the past two years, but this year Amazon added some extra hours to extend the sale to 30 hours instead of just 24. More specifically, Prime Day 2017 will kick off on the evening of July 10 at 6 p.m. PT (4 p.m. PT for Alexa voice shoppers) and last all day on July 11.

Prime Day deals are available only to Amazon Prime members, who pay a $99 annual subscription to take advantage of two-day shipping and a number of other neat perks.
This year's sale will mark the third annual Prime Day and it's expected to be the most enticing one yet. The first Prime Day sale took place in 2015 and led to a significant increase in Amazon's Prime subscriber base, with many consumers signing up just to take advantage of the deals. The 2016 Prime Day sale brought even more deals and more attractive discounts and shoppers were generally happier with the second sale than the first one. If Amazon continues its upward trend, Prime Day 2017 could be the best sale yet.
