The Google Store has launched a promotion featuring two of Google's major hardware products, offering a free Google Home for every purchase of the Google Pixel XL.
For customers who were thinking about buying a Pixel XL, the offer should help eliminate any reservations that you may have in acquiring Google's 5.5-inch Android smartphone.
Free Google Home For Every Google Pixel XL
The offer is visible on the Pixel page of the Google Store, where Google lists the terms and conditions for getting a Google Home for free for every purchase of the Pixel XL.
According to the pop-up screen after clicking the offer's terms and conditions, the deal is only available for customers in the United States and is only available while supplies last. Customers will need to add both the Pixel XL and Google Home in their shopping carts, after which the $129.99 price tag of the Google Home will be deducted upon checkout.
Google also noted that customers who return the Pixel XL or cancel their order should also return the Google Home device they received to be eligible for a full refund.
The 32 GB version of the Pixel XL costs $769, which may be too steep of a price to pay in one go. Fortunately, Google offers a financing option of $32.04 for 24 months for the 32 GB Pixel XL, and $40.33 for 24 months for the 128 GB Pixel XL with two-year device protection. Customers who avail the Google Store Financing are also eligible to receive the free Google Home.
As the offer only lasts while the earmarked Google Home units are still available, customers are highly recommended to make their purchases now to be able to avail it.
Why Buy The Pixel XL And Google Home?
The Pixel XL, originally released in October last year, has received rave reviews as a pure Android experience. The Google Home, meanwhile, was released a month after in November 2016.
While there are rumors that Google is already working on the next-generation Pixel smartphones, the Pixel XL remains a very capable Android device. Powered out of the box by Android 7.1 Nougat, the Pixel XL comes with a 12.3-megapixel rear-facing camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen. The smartphone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor that is supported by 4 GB of RAM.
The Google Home, on the other hand, has found itself in a suddenly tight smart speaker market due to the continued success of the Alexa-powered Amazon Echo and the announcement of the Siri-powered Apple HomePod.
Google, however, unveiled massive updates for Google Home at the company's annual I/O developers' conference, evolving the smart speaker into a more powerful device. Among the new features added to the smart speaker include the ability to make phone calls, schedule calendar appointments, and create reminders. Google Home will also soon support Bluetooth connections and visual responses through Chromecast-enabled TVs.
Purchasing a Google Pixel XL with a free Google Home is definitely a good offer, so customers who have their eye on these two devices should send in their order as soon as they can.
