Constantine is one of those shows in which the viewers really will decide its fate. Most shows are simply cancelled or renewed, but Constantine is different: the series' production was recently halted by NBC executives, but the possibility of a second season still exists...it just depends on how many people watch the show.
Viewership for the DC Comics adaptation has continued to grow, with last week's episode seeing a massive jump in ratings. It's the reason the show could still be renewed, but only if its numbers remain consistent. It's certainly not a great place for the show to be in, but it could definitely be worse.
Despite the rocky situation that Constantine has found itself in, the show's crew remains confident. Executive Produce Daniel Cerone took to Twitter yesterday to remind fans that the show's fate is truly in their hands...and to talk shop with William Shatner.
This is an accurately reported story. Our first season is 13 eps. Next season's fate is in YOUR hands. https://t.co/Ex8bbIKQK0 #Constantine

With any luck, Constantine will keep getting bigger as the season continues - no one likes to see a show fall apart after just one season in a lousy timeslot. Plus, the series has found its groove over the past three episodes. Fans of the comic series should take note.
If you want to help, just watch the show: Constantine airs Fridays at 10pm on NBC. Check out some footage from the show from DC Comics below:
