Grand Theft Auto V Rages On: Rockstar Offers Bonuses And Discounts For 'GTA Online' As Players Wait For Gunrunning DLC

Rockstar Games revealed new limited-time bonuses and discounts for GTA Online, as gamers continue to play the online component of Grand Theft Auto V.

The maintained popularity of Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online is the reason why Take-Two Interactive, the game's publisher, continues to have a bright future despite the delay of Red Dead Redemption 2 to spring 2018.

'GTA Online' Bonuses And Discounts

Rockstar Games announced the latest bonuses and discounts that players can take advantage of in GTA Online through its website.

GTA Online players will be able to earn double GTA$ and RP in the game's Special Vehicle Missions, which features vehicles such as the Ramp Buggy and the Ruiner 2000. Players will also be able to earn an additional 25 percent on GTA$ from Biker Business Sales and Special Cargo Deliveries, with these bonuses available until June 12.

In addition to these bonuses, GTA Online players will also be able to enjoy discounts on a variety of big-ticket items sold by in-game merchants that include executive offices and special vehicles. For example, DockTease is offering yacht of all models and model upgrades at 25 percent off, Dynasty 8 Executive is selling Executive Offices at 25 percent off, and Warstock Cache & Carry has put up the Rhino Tank at 25 percent off.

Rockstar Games also announced that Steeplechase is the featured Premium Race and Del Perro Pier is the featured Time Trail until May 29. From May 30 until June 5 the featured Premium Race and Time Trial are the Rocket Voltic-locked Ascent and Observatory, respectively.

The top three finishers of Premium Races are awarded GTA$, with all participants receiving Triple RP. Players can also earn significant GTA$ and RP rewards for beating Time Trials.

'Gunrunning' DLC For 'GTA Online'

The bonuses and discounts are offered to players as they wait for the launch of Gunrunning, which is the newest DLC for GTA Online.

Rockstar Games recently revealed the first details and screenshot for Gunrunning, which highlights the illegal weapons trafficking industry of southern San Andreas.

Once the DLC launches, players will be able to purchase underground bases underneath Blaine County that can be viewed through the website of Maze Bank Foreclosure. The bases can then be stocked with vehicles and manufacturing equipment that can develop weapons, for wares that can be sold to the top bidders.

Rockstar Games will reveal more details regarding Gunrunning as its launch date draws nearer. The DLC is expected to be released some time in June.

'Grand Theft Auto V' Still Going Strong

Despite being released in 2013, Grand Theft Auto V is still going strong. The game reached 75 million copies sold in February, and three months later, has shipped 80 million copies worldwide. GTA Online is a big part of the game's success, as Rockstar Games continues to roll out new features and updates for the online multiplayer mode.

Both new and second-hand copies of Grand Theft Auto V are still in demand, though players are advised to thoroughly check their purchases in case they come with a dangerous surprise.
