We always knew Commander Riker was a player.
A new gag reel just released to promote the Season 7 Blu-ray release of Star Trek: The Next Generation shows off the cast's clownish side. After seven years on a show, any awkwardness is pretty much gone. These were clearly actors who were not only comfortable being around each other, but were good friends as well.
The all-too-short clip gives us glimpses of on-set goofiness from Levar Burton, Patrick Stewart, Gates McFadden and Jonathan Frakes. First, Burton (aka Geordi LaForge) breaks character due to a case of the sillies. Stewart and McFadden have a minor mishap while filming an action scene. And finally Frakes shows off Riker's true, skirt-chasing nature.
Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 7 arrives on Blu-ray on December 2, 2014, just in time to fit inside your Trek-themed Christmas stocking.
