The rumored Moto Z2 Force and Moto Z2 Play just leaked in a new press render that gives a good look at the smartphone's purported design, front and back.
Motorola is expected to unveil its new line of smartphones soon enough and leaks hint at an exciting mix of specs, features, and aesthetics. The latest leak now offers a good glimpse of the purported Moto Z2 Force and Moto Z2 Play and confirms some previously leaked specifications.
Moto Z2 Force and Moto Z2 Play Design
Based on the new leaked render, the Moto Z2 Play and Moto Z2 Force look roughly the same from the front, with similar displays. They have the same rectangular fingerprint reader below the display reminiscent of the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, and both sport a front-facing camera with LED flash. Both handsets seem to have the microphone toward the bottom of the front side, close to the fingerprint scanner.
The rear design features more differences, meanwhile, especially since one of these models is expected to boast a dual rear-camera setup. Just like previous rumors have indicated, the latest leaked render shows the Moto Z2 Force with a dual camera system with a large, round lens, whereas the Moto Z2 Play has a single camera.
Otherwise, both smartphones seem to be more similar in design to the Moto G lineup rather than the previous Moto Z line, but that's not a bad thing. The leak also bolsters earlier rumors about the smartphones, revealing a Moto Z2 Play with a seemingly slimmer design compared to its predecessor.
Moto Z2 Force And Moto Z2 Play Rumored Specs
The Moto Z2 Force is expected to sport top-notch specs all around, packing the same Snapdragon 835 processor that powers the new Samsung Galaxy S8. Other rumored specs for the Z2 Force include 4 GB of RAM, USB Type C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Moto Z2 Play is rumored to pack a less powerful Snapdragon 626 processor, 4 GB of RAM, and a single rear camera, and have a lower price tag. In other words, the Moto Z2 Play is shaping up as a slimmer and more powerful version of the Moto Z Play, but it may feature a less powerful battery to accommodate the slimmer build.
The new leak falls in line with a previously leaked Moto Z2 Play press render, showing the same design and the same date on the display: June 8. The date is considered a hint for when Motorola will take the wraps off its new devices, so the new Moto Z2 Force and Moto Z2 Play could make their debuts as soon as next month.
The smartphones are also expected to support Motorola's Moto Mods accessories for the Moto Z line, allowing owners to get extra functionality through snap-on extensions.
It's all in the rumor state at this point however, so it's best to take all leaks and rumors with a grain of salt for now. Motorola has yet to make an official announcement regarding its plans for the Moto Z2 Force and Moto Z2 Play, but we'll keep you up to date as soon as more information becomes available.
