Fox is planning on shooting X-Men: Apocalypse in the near future and, as one might expect, it will require a larger cast compared to the previous film. The big rumor we are hearing right now is that Fox is making moves to cast actors for a young Cyclops and Jean Grey.
From what we are hearing, there's a chance Fox is already speaking with three actresses for the Jean Grey role, though, we have no idea if the studio is close to making a solid choice just yet. The studio is also in talks with three actors to play the role of Cyclops.
When it comes down to who is currently in talks for the roles, Cinema Blend reports that Fox is eying the likes of Chloe Moretz, Hailee Steinfeld and Elle Fanning for Jean Grey, and Ben Hardy, Timothee Chalamet, and Charlie Rowe for Cyclops.
Furthermore, the studio is also reported to be on the lookout for a talented young actress to take on the role of Storm. If this is the case, then it might mean that many of the mutant heroes might show up in the film via their younger selves. Apart from knowing tthat the strongest mutant of them all, Apocalypse, is the main threat, we will pretty much be in for a surprise.
Maybe time travel would play a major part of the X-Men: Apocalypse storyline. It wouldn't be the first time Fox has gone down this route, so if it happens again, no one should be shocked at all.
When it comes down to the list of actresses vying for the role of Jean Grey, we would prefer if Fox chose Chloe Moretz. On the matter of Cyclops, Ben Hardy would be a great fit.
At the moment, Fox has yet to make an announcement about this matter.
X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled for a 2016 release, the same year Marvel and DC are planning to release several important films.
