The Samsung Galaxy S8 will hit the U.S. shelves on April 21, but some lucky consumers who preordered the smartphone from T-Mobile will get the device earlier than others.
As promised, T-Mobile has begun shipping out the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone to those who preordered the handset.
Earlier in April, reports suggested that T-Mobile would be shipping out its variant of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones to customers earlier than expected.
The carrier reportedly sent out a message to a customer who had preordered the Galaxy S8 that the smartphone would be shipped a few days earlier than promised.
"Get ready! The Samsung Galaxy S8 releases April 21st. We're packaging your T-Mobile [Order Number] so you might see applicable charges on your card. We will start shipping April 19 prior to its release," noted the T-Mobile message at the time.
However, it appears that T-Mobile has expedited the delivery of the Galaxy S8 and the smartphone is shipping out to consumers before April 19.
T-Mobile Customers Receiving Preordered Galaxy S8
According to a report from Phone Arena, the Galaxy S8 has already been shipped out to those who preordered the handset.
The publication shared that one of its readers received an alert from T-Mobile that the Midnight Black Galaxy S8 ordered by them had been shipped out.
Those who preorderd the Galaxy S8 from the carrier and have received a similar notification will see that the price of the handset has been deducted from their debit card.
Why Is T-Mobile Shipping The Galaxy S8 Faster?
T-Mobile is likely shipping out its variant of the Galaxy S8 faster than rivals in a bid to have an edge. The quicker shipment may lure consumers to purchase the T-Mobile variant of the Galaxy S8.
The network operator is offering the Galaxy S8 in three hues — Midnight Black, Arctic Silver, and Orchid Gray.
Those looking to purchase the smartphone outright will need to shell out $750. Alternately, one can pay $30 each month for 24 months.
Those preordering the Galaxy S8 from T-Mobile are eligible for some freebies as well.
"Pre-order the new Galaxy S8 and get a FREE Gear VR with Controller and Oculus bonus content. Want more? Get premium headphones by AKG and a 256GB memory card for $99," notes the carrier.
Interestingly, T-Mobile lists the shipping dates for the 64 GB Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus as April 20 to April 21 on its website.
Samsung's Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 have reportedly been well-received by consumers despite being more expensive than the predecessors. It is reported that of the two handsets, the Galaxy S8 Plus is finding more favor with consumers.
