Apple is expected to refresh its iPad Pro line and rumors about the company's next-gen tablets have been floating online for a while.
Earlier rumors hinted that new iPad models may be introduced in March, but latest reports suggest that the company may launch these products in early April.
It has also come to light that Apple may hold its event on Tuesday, April 4, but it has not been confirmed by the company as of now.
According to rumors, Apple will launch a 10.5-inch iPad Pro, a 12.9-inch iPad Pro, an improved model which would replace iPad Air 2 with 9.7-inch screen and a 7.9-inch iPad mini. The new iPad mini may indeed be the iPad mini 5 or could be rebranded as iPad mini Pro.
Rumors Regarding The Launch Of iPads
According to an Apple World report, in the last event held at 1 Infinite Loop, Apple's CEO Tim Cook said that it would be the last event that will take place in the current headquarters. Apple Park is expected to open in the beginning of April and it is quite possible that the first event held there would be the launch of these Apple tablets.
"We've have been hearing recurring rumors that a new 12.9-inch iPad Pro, a possible 10.5-inch iPad Pro, a revised 9.7-inch model to replace the iPad Air 2 and even a 7.9-inch iPad mini update might be announced soon. Perhaps Apple's event is scheduled for April 4 meaning that new device would have same day availability after an announcement," notes the report.
To build up the excitement, it seems that there is an iPad offer going on with $150 discount on most models from local carriers.
These deals are expected to run out by April just before the time when the newer models of the iPad are supposed to be launched. All these speculations are mostly based on circumstantial data, but there are strong chances that all the rumored models will be launched on the expected date.
Rumored Apple Tablets: Specs And Features
Previous speculations are that Apple will introduce three models of iPads this year. All of these models may not support microSD card, which is usually the norm for iPads, so it is a possibility that Apple also launches the iPad Pro 2 with a 512 GB storage option. One of the common features shared by all the models may be that they will all be powered by an A11 processor and boast 3 GB of RAM.
According to reports, it is also likely that the iPad Pro mini or the iPad mini 5, may come with an 8MP primary and 1.2MP FaceTime camera. It is possible that the device may come with iOS 10.1.1, but not iOS 11.
