Pizza Hut is expanding its menu to be more than just stuffed-crust cheesy pizza.
Joining the Meat Lover's and Veggie Lover's pies, 11 new speciality pizzas will be added to the menu, as well low-calorie "skinny" pies, the chain announced on Monday.
Pizza lovers will also get to customize their pies at not extra cost. Consumers can choose from a list of six sauce options which include premium crushed tomato, garlic Parmesan and honey Sriracha. There is also the option of adding "drizzles" of flavors, including balsamic and buffalo.
New crust flavors include salted pretzel, toasted cheddar, curry, and fiery red pepper. Foodies should try the "Curried Away" pizza first, since it is one of the two flavors that will only be served for a limited time.
New toppings include banana peppers, cherry peppers and spinach. Other ingredients will remain the same, but will be renamed to seen more exotic and fresh, such as "Mediterranean black olives" and "fresh red onions."
Pizza Hut's menu expansion comes after a two percent sales decline over the past year, whereas sales have grown for competitors Domino's and Papa John's.
Adding customizable options is part of the company's strategy to boost sales, following in the footsteps of popular places among Millennials like Chipotle. And now employees can now ditch their black pants and polo shirts for jeans and t-shirts to further cater to the younger generation.
The menu is not the only thing getting a makeover. The pizza chain also altered its iconic red roof logo. The redesign features the red roof against a swirling red circle.
"It's a signal to America there's a big change at Pizza Hut," said Carrie Walsh, the company's chief marketing officer.
Pizza Hut's new menu will roll out in stores Nov. 19.
