Rumors about new iPads are nothing new by now. We've heard of the possibilities of new iterations of the iPad Pro and a new 10.5-inch iPad. There were reports too that Apple is planning to roll out a red iPhone.
As we kicked off 2017, iPad Pro 2 concept videos started popping up and these stories have been corroborated by Apple Pencil 2 rumors.
Apple-centric Japanese blog Mac Otakara, a consistently reliable source of early news on upcoming iProducts, reports that new versions of the iPads will take the spotlight during the Apple March 2017 Event. According to an unnamed Barclays analyst, the company might also unveil a red iPhone.
New iPads Big And Small
New iPad Specs And Release Date Rumors
The latest rumor suggests that Apple will unwrap new iterations of the 12.9-inch, 9.7-inch, and 7.9-inch models. These new iPads will be released as early as March. Then, there will also be a 10.5-inch iPad Pro model that will be ready by May.
The 10.5-inch iPad Pro will purportedly have an edge-to-edge display and will drop the Home button. Previous reports claimed that Apple is planning to come up with a thicker bezel-free 10.9-inch iPad Pro.
The 7.9-inch iPad Pro specs might include quad microphones, 12-megapixel main camera, True Tone display and flash, and a Smart connector. There's also a good chance that some of these features will also spill over to the bigger siblings as improvements from the older model that shipped without them.
With these new iPad models arriving soon, technophiles can expect a lower sticker price of the older models. Some might be approaching the end of the line.
Red iPhone 7 And Bigger iPhone SE Storage
The Barclays analyst also suggests that Apple allegedly plans to release a red iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. There were earlier reports that the new color variant will be introduced during the launch of the iPhone 7s but if it is this early, Apple might be trying to up the sales of the current model before the new iPhone hits the shelves a few months from now.
Apple is also said to bump up the storage capacity of the iPhone SE and add a 128 GB option to the small iPhone's lineup. The iPhone SE is available in 16 GB and 64 GB capacities.
Other iDevice Rumors
Mac Otakara's source also reveals that Apple might also present a new band for the Apple Watch.
Some suggest that the Apple March Event might also be a good venue for the manufacturer to release an updated version of its 12-inch MacBook with Retina display.
We still do not have the date for the Apple iPad March 2017 event but Tech Times will keep you posted.
