The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are poised to debut at the MWC this month and as their launch nears, the official renders and specifications of the devices have leaked online.
The two smartphones were reportedly listed on the website of a Spanish retailer K-Tronix. The images look genuine and may possibly be the real renders for the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. The images also list the specs and features of the two smartphones.
The retailer had apparently mistakenly posted the listings of the phone earlier than its official launch. This listing was removed as soon as K-Tronix got wind of the error. However, even this short duration was enough for fans all over the world to find out what Lenovo's upcoming devices would offer.
The Moto G5
The leaked listing reveals that the Moto G5 may come with a 5-inch FHD display that deploys Gorilla Glass 3, with a 441ppi pixel density. The device may be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor, clocked at 1.4 GHZ.
The phone may house 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128 GB. Per the listing, the Moto G5 is also said to sport a 13MP primary and 5MP secondary camera.
The battery capacity of the device is listed as 2800 mAh. The battery will be a removable one and will support Rapid Charging. The device will come pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat.
Two color options may be available to consumers upon release of the device - Lunar Gray and Fine Gold.
The Moto G5 Plus
The listing suggests that the Moto G5 Plus will boast a 5.2 inch FHD display that deploys Gorilla Glass 3, with a 424ppi pixel density.
The device may house an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor, clocked at 2.0 GHz. The Moto G5 Plus may also have 2 GB of RAM, but unlike the Moto G5 it will feature an internal storage of 64 GB. This memory too is going to be expandable to an additional 128 GB.
The rear camera in the Moto G5 Plus is listed as 12MP, while the front facing camera is said to be 5MP.
The battery capacity of the device is listed as 3000 mAh. The battery will be a removable one and will support Turbo Charging. The device will come pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat.
Like the Moto G5, it too will be available in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold color options.
Price And Availability
The release date of the Moto devices has not yet been confirmed but reports indicate that they would hit the shelves after the MWC. Both the smartphones are expected to reach U.S. markets by March or April. The pricing of the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus are not known.
