Technology is amazing and it’s only getting better. We have access to all of the world’s information at our fingertips; we can fly through the air to another country in a matter of hours; and we can watch funny cat videos until our eyes hurt.
What will tech look like in the future? Will we get to our jobs on hover boards? Or flying cars? Will we be able to search Google just by thinking about it? Here are five videos that show a glimpse of what the future might look like.
1. Cars
Companies like Google have already started to venture into what autonomous cars might look like, with a number of companies also looking into how vehicles can communicate with each other. This video shows a glimpse of what might take shape and even takes that one step further by showing cars that can communicate with humans!
2. Planes
Transportation is a huge part of our everyday lives, so we couldn’t just leave it at cars. The video below shows what the plane of the future might look like and it certainly is impressive. Imagine if you could get up from your seat and go play golf in a recreational area on the plane. Or if you could look out the window and know exactly how tall a mountain is.
3. Phones
Phones are a huge part of our lives. We communicate with them, research with them and even game with them. The video below shows a glimpse of what phones might look like in just a few years. With Google’s Project Ara taking shape, it is definitely possible that modular smartphones are the way of the future.
4. Computers
What would an article about the future be without mentioning computers? Computers are likely to keep getting more interactive, which will be of great benefit to sectors such as education. The video below, made by Microsoft, shows exactly what that might be.
5. Everything Else
We’ve looked at transportation and gadgets, but what about our world in general? While the video below certainly might be a little cheesy, it also shows a world that looks incredible. Imagine a world that runs on completely green energy, or one in which humans live on artificial islands on the ocean.
