‘Survivor’: New Cast Of All Star ‘Game Changers’ Revealed On CBS Website Ahead Of Premiere Date

A new season of Survivor is just around the corner, and this time the cast will consist wholly of previous contestants. The entire cast list of Survivor: Game Changers was just revealed by CBS on its website, ahead of the upcoming premiere date.

Survivor Is One Of The Longest Running Hit TV Shows

Survivor is one of the most venerable and popular shows on all of television, both broadcast and cable. The reality show is now in its 17th year, having first premiered on CBS, along with Big Brother, way back in the year 2000. Usually, each year consists of two separate seasons, one of which premieres in the fall and one in the spring, meaning we are now upon the 34th installment of Survivor. In each installment, contestants compete against each other and the elements in a remote tropical location for a million-dollar prize.

This season, the show has something special planned in the form of an all-star season consisting completely of players who have previously appeared on the show before. Host Jeff Probst, who has won several Emmys for his role on the show, announced the special Game Changers season at the finale of season 33 in December, and teased viewers by revealing eight of the 20 returning players set to appear on the upcoming Survivor: Game Changers.

Full All Star Cast List Revealed

Now, with the show's premiere date less than a month away, the full list of returning Survivor contestants has been revealed via CBS' website:

Caleb Reynolds, Ciera Eastin, Cirie Fields, Michaela Bradshaw, Oscar "Ozzy" Lusth, Sandra Diaz-Twine, Tai Trang, Tony Vlachos, Andrea Boehlke, Aubry Bracco, Brad Culpepper, Debbie Wanner, James "JT" Thomas, Jeff Varner, Hali Ford, Malcolm Freberg, Sarah Lacina, Sierra Dawn-Thomas, Troyzan Robertson and Zeke Smith.

The list spans almost the entire run of the series, with contestant's original appearances ranging from just the second series ever all the way through the most recent 33rd season. The players who were chosen are all considered to be what Probst describes as "game changers," meaning they either did something or were willing to do something that ultimately changed the course of how the game is played going forward.

Probst explained the all-star theme this season was developed due to the large number of excellent players the game has produced over time.

"The last few years we've had so many new players that were good players, and the game has continued to escalate in terms of the level of gameplay that it suddenly became apparent that we actually have a lot of great game players", the host explained. "It just felt right," he added.

Survivor: Game Changers premieres on CBS on March 8 with a special two hour episode at 8 p.m.
