Hankering for a laptop and tablet hybrid that is not only portable but also affordable? Meet the Yoga A12, the newest Android 2-in-1 from Lenovo that is not only perfect for those on-the-go, but also budget friendly.
Lenovo has officially announced its Yoga A12 which the company claims is "made for all-day productivity.
"In our constant search to create different and better products, we listened to hundreds of users from New York to Delhi tell us about their computing needs and operating systems of choice," shared the company. "For these users, Android and productivity weren't mutually exclusive-the smartphone or tablet experience can be seamlessly extended to the personal computer. That's why we created the Yoga A12."
The Yoga A12 is an amalgamation of productivity and mobility, to offer users a great experience.
This is not the first time the Lenovo 2-in-1 has surfaced online. In January, the device was quietly listed on Amazon, fueling speculations that an announcement was on the cards.
Yoga A12 Specs
The 2-in-1 sports a 12.2-inch HD anti-glare screen. Under the hood, the device houses a quad-core Intel Atom x5 processor, which clocks at 2.4 GHz and a paltry 2 GB of RAM. The device also offers 32 GB of internal storage
The Lenovo device is just 5.4mm thick and weighs a paltry 2.2lbs, which makes the Yoga A12 light and slim enough to be lugged around easily. The device also has two Dolby Atmos speakers, which enhance the audio experience.
The Halo keyboard is also a joy to work on as the touchscreen, fully flat keyboard is able to adapt and learn the user's typing habits. The more a user deploys the Halo keyboard, the more precise and quicker it becomes. It is able to vibrate on touch thanks to the haptic feedback support. The company asserts that the Halo keyboard learns from the user courtesy its in-built AI and prediction software.
The tablet offers nearly 13 hours of usage on a single charge, which will be welcomed by users. The device will come pre-loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Release
The Lenovo Yoga A12 will be offered in two hues Rose Gold and Gunmetal Gray. The device will start at $299.99 and will go on sale on the company's online store from Feb. 8.
Interestingly, the Yoga A12 is available for preorder on Amazon as well in Gunmetal Gray. The Rose Gold version was listed as out of stock at the time of writing.
It has been priced cheaper than the earlier 10.2-inch Yoga Book, which costs $449 for the Android variant. The cheaper pricing is likely due to the downgraded specs.
