Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus Spotted On Geekbench: Snapdgraon 625 CPU, Android Marshmallow, And More

A Lenovo tablet has surfaced on a benchmarking site. The device in question is the Tab3 8 Plus, believed to be the successor of the Lenovo Tab3 8, which was launched in February 2016.

The specs of the tablet leaked earlier in September 2016 and now it is in the news once again thanks to the Geekbench listing, which was uploaded on Jan. 30.

Earlier leaks about Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus suggested some upgraded specs compared to its predecessor. The latest listing on Geekbench confirms some of those earlier specs.

Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus Rumored Specs

The listing on Geekbench shows the Lenovo Tab3 bearing the model number TB-8703F. In line with previous rumors, the listing reveals that the rumored tablet would come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset and 3 GB of RAM.

Contradictory reports have come up with respect to the version of operating system the upcoming Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus would be running on. Earlier reports suggested that the tablet will come with Android 7.0 Nougat, as the operating system had already released.

The current Geekbench listing, on the other hand, suggests that the Tablet will run on the older Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system, which powers the Lenovo Tab3 8.

The benchmark test also shows that the Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus has a single-core score of 935 and a multi-core score of 4,667. .

Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus: What Previous Leaks Revealed

On September 2016 leaked reports suggested that Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus would come with an 8-inch full HD screen having a pixel resolution of 1,920 x 1,200, which is an upgrade from Lenovo Tab3 8's 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution.

Given that the Tab3 8 Plus is a successor of the Lenovo Tab3 8, it can be expected that the yet-to-be-launched tablet will come with upgraded specs compared to its predecessor.

The older leaks also suggested that the tablet would be available in 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB of on-board storage options. Similar to the Lenovo Tab3 8, the Tab3 8 Plus would also come with the option of a microSD card, allowing users to expand the memory.

Tablet enthusiasts can expect the Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus to come equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera, given that the Lenovo Tab3 8 comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera.

The pricing and availability details of the Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus are currently not available, but the device is expected to have a higher price tag than the Lenovo Tab3 8. The Lenovo Tab3 8 is currently available for purchase at Lenovo's online store for $109.99.
