ZTE is flying high with the release of its Blade V8 Pro and the company is allegedly gearing up for the launch of a new concept phone.
According to a new report, ZTE has released a teaser for its MWC 2017 event which mentions the Blade V8 and Axon 7 series. The intriguing bit, however, is that the company talks about the "world's first groundbreaking concept mobile phone."
The ZTE teaser reportedly does not elaborate on what the groundbreaking mobile device from the company will be, leaving fans in anticipation.
Apparently, ZTE is working on a certain concept of smartphones which may be similar to Xiaomi Mi Mix.
Rumors And Specs
For the unfamiliar, Xiaomi Mi Mix sports an edgeless display which is 6.4 inches. The seamless display with 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio has no bezels at the top.
As sources have mentioned that the upcoming ZTE concept phone will be similar to the Xiaomi Mi Mix, one can expect the handset to also be an edgeless phone. It is likely that like the Mi Mix, the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor, clocked at 2.35 GHz and offer 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. The mystery ZTE smartphone could also take a cue from the Xiaomi handset and boast on-board storage of 128 GB and 256 GB.
Hopefully, the ZTE handset will run on Android 7.0 Nougat and not the older Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The features of the ZTE Blade V8 Pro may also be packed into the concept mobile phone from ZTE. For instance, the company may take inspiration from the Blade V8 Pro and equip the concept phone with a fingerprint sensor which is responsive and programmable and located on the home button.
"Responsive, programmable fingerprint sensor on the front is engineered to recognize multiple fingerprints to customize which app you want to open with one touch, all while staying safe and secure," notes ZTE.
The groundbreaking concept phone could also pack in a colossal battery — or so fans would hope. Another feature that ZTE fans would look forward to is a dual-camera setup on the device, perhaps even an iris scanner.
MWC Debut?
ZTE could possibly showcase this much-touted concept phone it is excited about at the impending MWC 2017 in February. The company is also expected to make some 5G-related announcements.
Whether the concept phone will be unveiled at the MWC 2017 remains to be seen.
If ZTE sticks to its promise, the change could potentially usher in a new era for the smartphone space.
