Apple has started selling certified refurbished Watch Series 1 and Series 2 online, potentially making the wearable lineups the perfect and affordable gifts this holiday.
Depending on the model, band, and whatnot, customers stand to save anywhere between 14 and 16 percent, with prices starting at $229 and topping out at $509.

Refurbished vs. Brand New: What's The Difference?
Buying a refurbished product comes with some risk, but that doesn't mean it's a terrible idea.
Put simply, manufacturers and retailers repair returned items to the point that they are almost as good as new and sell them off with at discounted prices.
According to Consumer Reports, refurbished devices haven't even been used by the original customers in some cases and that they may have been returned because the deliveryman damaged the packaging without compromising the item inside.
In a word, it's more or less A-OK to purchase them, but there's still a small chance they're defective — 5 percent, to be exact, based on Accenture's 2011 survey.
Series 1 vs. Series 2
Basically, the Series 1 and Series 2 are pretty much the same, but some of the notable features that the latter sports include a brighter display at 1,000 nits, water resistance of up to 164 feet, and built-in GPS, to name a few.
Before wrapping things up, it's also worth mentioning that Apple has started selling refurbished iPhones back in November.
