The holiday season is upon us and Verizon announced new deals on top smartphones, including the Google Pixel which is now available for free with trade-in.
Verizon is actually offering a number of select flagship smartphones for free with trade-in, starting this Friday, Dec. 16. Needless to mention, not every smartphone trade-in will warrant a top smartphone for free, as it will depend on the condition of the device you're trading in.
Verizon Holiday Promotion
"We have great news for last minute shoppers. Starting Friday, you get the very best deals on the very best phones on Verizon's next gen network," says Nancy Clark, Verizon SVP of marketing and sales operations for Verizon. "And if there's a Google fan on your shopping list, your Verizon store is the only place to get the latest Google products, all under one roof – Pixel, a Phone by Google, Daydream VR and Google Home."
Free Flagship With Trade-In
A good device in working condition could net customers a free flagship after monthly credits. Top choices include the Samsung Galaxy S7/ S7 edge, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Droid Force, LG V20, Google Pixel and Pixel XL.
Verizon says that this is its most aggressive offer ever, and it's back for the holidays but only for a limited time.
Smartphone Deals With No Trade-In
If you don't want to trade in your old smartphone to get a new one, there are still a few good offers on the table. Verizon is offering its top handsets, including the Google Pixel, iPhone 7 and Moto Z Droid, for $10 per month on device payment, with no down payment or trade-in required.
What this essentially means is that customers can get these top smartphones for $240 after 24 months, with this deal matching the prices Big Red offered on Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.
Devices On Backorder
Customers can still take advantage of this holiday promotion if they order a Verizon smartphone that's currently on backorder, Android Headlines reports. Verizon should start shipping backordered devices as soon as it catches up with demand. Depending on the device, that could be right after Christmas or a bit later.
Tablets And Accessories
Customers shopping for a tablet, meanwhile, can now get any iPad at $200 off when agreeing to a two-year contract, or at $250 off when purchased together with an iPhone.
Verizon hasn't forgotten about accessories either, and it's offering a range of gadgets including Google Home, Daydream View, Fitbit Charge 2 and more.
