A new deal on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has emerged at T-Mobile, which for a limited time will knock off $30 in a special promotion tied in with this week's baseball playoffs. The deal also offers free shipping and 30% off all accessories. But is this the best offer for potential Samsung Galaxy Note 4 buyers?
We've been reporting on all the latest deals, discounts, and offers on Samsung's recently released Galaxy Note 4 phablet, and now, as one of major league baseball's official sponsors, T-Mobile is offering the "Score $30 In Savings on Samsung This Postseason " deal as a tie-in with the World Series between the Kansas City Royals and San Francisco Giants.
While the deal applies to all Samsung phones and tablets including the Galaxy S5 and the Note 3, the real news is the first deal on the Galaxy Note 4 since it was released to actually discount the price without requiring the trade-in of an old smartphone. The Galaxy Note 4 is Samsung's newest phablet and direct competition to Apple's recently released iPhone 6 Plus and Google/Motorola's upcoming Nexus 6. It features a superb 5.7-inch Quad high definition display, a high-end 16 megapixel camera, and a hybrid plastic and metal famed design to give the Note 4 a more premium feel and keep it ultrathin and light.
The phone is currently priced at $299 on a two-year contract at most major carriers, so the discount amounts to 10% on the newly released device. You can now also purchase the Galaxy Note 4 at T-Mobile on a no money down plan of $31.24 per month for 24 months, which adds up to $749, or $719 with the discount. But if you're going with a no money down plan, you're still better off at Verizon , which offers the phone for $29.16 a month or a total of $699, which is twenty dollars cheaper than T-Mobile even with the new $30 discount offer. Sprint's no money down plan, at $30 a month or $720 total, is just about equal to the T-Mobile price with the discount.
You can still combine the deal at T-Mobile with a trade in credit on your old smartphone, but keep in mind that Best Buy is still offering their promotion of " a guaranteed $200 Best Buy gift card when you trade in any working smartphone" toward the purchase of a Galaxy Note 4 through Nov.1. The Best Buy offer works with Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T.
So if you're looking to simply purchase the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in advance with a 2-year contract, the new T-Mobile deal looks like a winner, since it prices your phone at 10% less than the other major carriers, along with free shipping, and 30% off any accessories you might want for your new device. If you have an old smartphone to trade in, especially one worth less than $200, you ought to look at Best Buy's promotion which gives you a $200 credit and combines with your choice of Sprint, Verizon or AT&T . And if you're looking at a no money down plan, your best bet is still Verizon, whose Edge plan still offers the lowest price.
As always, we promise to keep you up to date on the latest deals discounts and promotions on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, as well as all the latest new phones, phablets and tablets as they are released and the holiday shopping season approaches.
