Camp Pokémon, the latest Pokémon-inspired free app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, opens up an amazing world of mysterious creatures.
A player can get to know these pocket monsters more by playing all of the game's fun activities. The game is set on an interactive island where the player learns what it takes to become a Pokémon Trainer.
The game features eight activities, five of which are focused on Pokémon. These are: 1. Find the Pokémon; 2. Poké Ball Throw; 3. Pokémon Evolutions; 4. Battle Matchups; 5. Pokémon in Focus; 6. My Cabin; 7. Photo Booth; and 8. Mystery Cave.
In "Find the Pokémon," players need a spyglass when searching for Pokémon in the wild. They can scan the 360 degree arena using the tip of a finger.
"Poké Ball Throw" will make players flick balls at swagging Pokémon and make them collect their corresponding pins.
"Pokémon Evolutions" tests the player's knowledge of how a Pokémon has evolved by identifying the correct pocket monster that is missing from the Pokémon Evolution chain.
"Battle Matchups" is a practice type matchup where players have to choose which Pokémon has a stronger element than the one that is currently featured.
"Pokémon in Focus" is a simple game where players would simply pick out a pocket monster based on the projected shadow or silhouette.
"My Cabin," otherwise known as the home base, is the place where players can find the Bulletin Board, Pin Book and Photo Book. Camp Pokémon players can collect around 100 Pokémon pins.
"Photo Booth" is where campers can capture memories using photos taken from their iPhone, iPad and iPod touch shutter. They can personalize photos by adding cute Pokémon stickers. Campers can save their pictures in the Photo Book or their device's Camera Roll.
Lastly, "Mystery Cave" is the game's ultimate target, which the player can only reach by earning high scores in the mini games.
Camp Pokémon is the second Pokémon game app to land on the App Store. Earlier in the month, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online was released for the iPad. Last year, the app Pokémon TV was released. It allows users to watch Pokémon's animated adventures.
Camp Pokémon's basic system requirements include an iPhone 4s or later, iPad 2 or later, and iOS 7, at the least.
