Lady Gaga's appearance on James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke" to help promote her just released album Joanne is officially scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 25. Corden's late night chat show The Late Late Show with James Corden has just uploaded a sneak peek of the segment to its YouTube page.
We recently reported Lady Gaga was the next big music superstar scheduled to appear on Corden's viral video hit, which has already amassed over 1 million YouTube views from appearances by singers like Adele, Justin Bieber and Britney Spears. We also brought you a brief clip of the upcoming appearance shot on the smartphone of an eagle eyed fan who spotted Gaga and Corden tooling around Los Angeles while filming the segment.
The new, officially uploaded preview clip features the same song the fan caught the two singing and dancing to together, none other than "Bad Romance", one of Gaga's biggest and most famous hits. Gaga ditches the ubiquitous cowboy hat and jean shorts she's been sporting in her recent promotion for her new rock-flavored Joanne album, instead opting to wear a more glamorous sparkly gold outfit reminiscent of her former style.
Gaga has been on a promotional whirlwind lately, appearing on "Saturday Night Live" this past weekend to perform two songs from Joanne, "Million Reasons" and "A-YO", before sitting down on Monday to do a lengthy and revealing interview on Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show. She told Stern that two other superstars were the first to congratulate her after the "Saturday Night Live" performance.
"I've been waiting three years to put out a pop album and I couldn't wait to put it out... I felt relieved and I was crying and Bradley (Cooper) was right there and Dave Chappelle was there with him. It was kind of really sweet. They both gave me a big hug and they were like, 'You did it!'."
Gaga also announced that she will embark on a tour for the album following her appearance as the headliner of the Super Bowl half time show in February. She revealed that during discussions for that gig, NFL bigwigs requested to hear an advance copy of her new album, which Gaga says sealed the deal.
Lady Gaga also confided that her go-to shoulder to cry on when having a bad day is none other than her good friend Tony Bennett, with whom she recorded a jazz album which topped the charts in 2014. It looks as if Gaga is having a good day however, in James Corden's passenger seat, in the preview of her Oct. 25 "Carpool Karaoke" appearance below.
