Zero Zero Robotics' new Hover Camera Passport is the ultimate selfie drone, offering portability and foldability for $549, without requiring FAA approval.
Foldable drones are the new trend and we already have the cool DJI Mavic Pro and GoPro Karma, but the Hover Camera Passport 4K drone was in the cards even before its other two rivals were announced.
The new Hover Camera Passport is not only foldable, but also fully enclosed and it weighs just 242 grams (little more than half a pound), slightly shy of the FAA's requirements for approval. For those unfamiliar with the regulations, the FAA requires owners to register any vehicles that weigh 250 grams or more.
This means that those who go for the Hover Camera Passport don't need to register it with the FAA, which should give Zero Zero Robotics' foldable drone a notable edge against rivals.
The fully-enclosed part, meanwhile, means that you can safely grab it mid-air without risking any injury from propellers.
The Passport also promises a novel experience, allowing users to try out new angles and shots for better photos.

The Passport can reach a maximum speed of 17 mph (8 m/s) and a maximum altitude of 6,562 ft (2,000 m), with a maximum hovering time of 10 minutes with no wind. Users can control the drone from up to 65 ft (20 m) in temperatures ranging between 41˚F and 95˚F (5 - 35˚C), on Wi-Fi frequencies of 2.4 and 5 GHz.
