Legos make everything better. It's just a simple fact of life. From movies to video games to famous world monuments, if you recreate it in Lego form, you are sure to create some smiles.
Morgan Spence knows this all too well. He's made a career out of creating Lego stop-motion videos in all shapes and sizes, ranging from this fantastic official music video for Paul Oakenfold's "Who Do You Love" to Lego destination videos like the Great Wall of China. His latest video is truly a work of art. The two-minute video below features one iconic movie scene after another, each painstakingly animated and realized in Lego form.
Lego artist Warren Elsemore, author of Brick Flicks: 60 Cult Movie Scenes & Posters Made from Lego, commissioned Spence to put together the work as a promotion for the book, and Spence definitely delivered. Each scene features music and audio from the real films, combined with the Lego animation to bring everything to life.
According to Sourcefed.com, it took Spence around three weeks to construct sets around the specialty Lego minifigures, which he snagged from the website minifigs.me. The range of films represented in the video is remarkable. From musicals like The Sound of Music and Singing in the Rain to the science-fiction classic E.T., there isn't a type of film Spence can't recreate. He brings in Jack Nicholson's terrifying The Shining performance and even includes Lego James Bond. Spence definitely shows in this video that when it comes to working with Lego, everything is indeed awesome.
