Rumor has it that Apple could very well skip a release of the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus during its spring event, and instead wait until next year to unveil the "iPhone 8" in celebration of the iPhone's 10th anniversary.
If there is any truth behind this, then we are all left wondering what new device Apple will take to the stage next.
It appears that Apple could be planning to unveil three new iPad Pros for spring 2017.
According to a report from the Japanese blog Mac Otakara, Apple's new iPad Pro lineup will include two new size options, the 7.9-inch iPad Pro mini and a new 10.1-inch iPad Pro, to join the 12.9-inch model.
The new iPad Pro mini is said to be equipped with an improved True Tone display with DCI-P3 "Wide Color" support, four speakers and four microphones, and will include a Smart Connector for increasing productivity with a keyboard case. If the rumor is true, it will be the first mini since the iPad Mini 4.
The second new size, the 10.1-inch model, is expected to feature a 12-megapixel camera with True Tone flash. It will also be equipped with the mini's quad-microphone.
While all of this could just be rumors, the Japanese blog cites having reliable sources. However, this size of the iPad conflicts with information from another reliable source, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who reported that the three new iPad Pros would consist of a 10.5-inch option, not a 10.1-inch model.
The blog gave little details about the the rumored 10.1-inch and the 12.9-inch iPad Pros besides their camera. The 12.9-inch model is also expected to have the same 12-megapixel camera with iSight and True Tone Flash. The big update with this lineup appears to be just on the screen quality and camera.
Interestingly enough, all three options are believed to keep the 3.5mm headphone jack. If true, this means Apple isn't going completely wireless-free when it comes to its headphones just yet.
The blog has accurately reported Apple's decision to get rid of the headphone jack in the iPhone 7, as well as its new colors, but it doesn't always get things right.
The three new iPad Pros including the mini, along with a new lineup of Mac laptops, could be announced during Apple's spring 2017 press event.
Apple fans will just have to patiently wait until the spring to find out what the company has up its sleeves next.
