Why Are Xbox One Sales Suddenly On The Rise?

The sales output of the Xbox One has tremendously increased right after Microsoft introduced the new Xbox One S models made up of the 500 GB and 1 TB versions. In fact, it was reported that the Xbox One sales in the United Kingdom have soared by about 989 percent to 1,000 percent.

Although Microsoft had anticipated the sales increase to happen and previous reports have confirmed that the Xbox One outsold the PlayStation 4 in July and August this year, the latest figures showing the sales improvement in the UK market were tremendously surprising.

Based on the current assessments from leading market analysts and tech experts, the impressive rise of the Xbox One's sales can partially be attributed to the slowing down of the demand for the PS4 despite Sony's introduction of the slimmed-down version of its iconic gaming console.

Aside from that, the continuous sales increase of the Xbox One might also be attributed to the introduction of the Xbox One S in 500 GB and the 1 TB versions, which are believed to provide a more engaging gaming experience to its users. In addition to that, the new S model of the Xbox One also comes with 4K Blu-ray support for better resolution.

Given the said sales accomplishment, the Xbox One has now established a good reputation, given that it always lagged behind the PlayStation 4 in the present generation.

To further boost the Xbox One's sales, Microsoft revealed a few products including two Gears of War 4 bundles, three Battlefield 1 bundles and the Minecraft bundle, which is intended for U.S. and Canadian markets. The Minecraft bundle will reach Europe on Oct. 11, and New Zealand and Australia on Nov. 1. It comes with the standard white Xbox One S console.

As for the Battlefield 1 bundle, Microsoft has added two new options: storm grey and military green.

"It's great to see how popular both the Xbox One S and the FIFA 17 Xbox One S consoles are with fans, not just over the last week but since the Xbox One S was released in August," said Harvey Eagle, the marketing director for Xbox UK when asked to comment on the Xbox One's latest sales accomplishment in the UK market. "4K video streaming and 4K UHD Blu-ray have been extremely well received by gamers and critics and we believe there is no better value right now for those looking to upgrade their console."

Despite the latest defeats that the PlayStation 4 has endured, it is believed that Sony will most likely implement a few changes and gimmicks on its game console to challenge the sales figures that the Xbox One has recently established.
