Apple's Oct. 16 event is right around the corner and the rumors are flying over just what Apple has in store given all the potential news it could present.
Here is a look at the products that will likely be released at the event including a new iPad, a new operating system, new iMacs, and possibly even more insight on what Apple debuted in September.
And just today, the blog 9to5Mac reported leaks regarding iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 may have the Touch ID feature.
iPad Air 2
Apple is very likely to release the next version of its iPad Air at the event, the iPad Air 2. This device will not be absolutely revolutionary, but it will likely include a better camera, more storage, and possibly even more memory, according to some leaks surrounding the device.
The iPad Air 2 is also likely to include Apple's new A8 processor, although some reports suggest that the device will actually include a processor specialized for tablets, the A8X.
The iPad Air 2 should also include a slightly different design to go along with the design that Apple introduced with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
OS X Yosemite
Apple will also release its new computer operating system, OS X Yosemite. This operating system will boast a number of new features, as well as a refreshed design.
One of the main features of the new operating system is Apple's "continuity," which promises to make it much easier to connect smartphones and tablets to the user's computer. This includes being able to take and make calls and texts straight from the computer.
New iMac's
While there may or may not be new MacBook Airs at the event, it seems as though Apple's desktop iMac computers will get most of the attention as far as computers go.
One of the biggest rumors is that we will see a 27-inch iMac with a retina display. This will be the first time we see a desktop computer from Apple with a retina display, and many are hoping this signals there will be a stand-alone Thunderbolt retina display in the near future as well.
Apple Pay
Apple Pay was announced at the company's Sept. 9 event, but many are expecting the upcoming event on Thursday to serve as its official launch. A number of companies have already announced support for the system. The jury remains out, however, on whether the mobile payment tech will be a big winner.
Conclusion
While the Oct. 16 event will probably not see the release of an entirely new product like the Sept. 9 event did with the Apple Watch, it is set to be exciting. Between the iPad Air 2, OS X Yosemite, new iMac's and Apple Pay, Apple fans are sure to be content.
