Blizzard Releases 'World Of Warcraft: Legion Companion': How Can The App Help Your Adventures?

Blizzard has released a companion app for World of Warcraft: Legion, which is the latest expansion for the massively popular online game.

World of Warcraft players know that to maximize the game and its expansions, hundreds and even thousands of hours are required to be invested into playing time. With the World of Warcraft: Legion Companion, Blizzard is looking to allow players to get the most out of the latest expansion even while they are away from their computers.

Through the app, gamers will be able to manage tasks in their Order Hall, including launching upgrades or making changes to previously selected upgrades. Players will also be able to conduct research and track the status of the Order Hall's tech tree.

The app's Followers section gives users the ability to recruit new followers, send them out on missions or handle their equipment. The Missions section, meanwhile, shows all the missions available to the player's character, along with the rewards for each of them. Users can also assign champions to the missions listed in the section, and can start missions from there and complete them once they are done.

It has been reported that hitting the level cap of 110 in World of Warcraft: Legion does not end the expansion, as that is actually where it starts to pick up speed, and the companion app will also help here.

The initial quests spanning the four new zones introduced in the expansion serves as an introduction to the characters and faction involved in World of Warcraft: Legion. Players only gain access to class-specific content, along with a massive list of tasks, upon reaching level 110, and upon doing so, gamers will see all the active world quests on the World of Warcraft: Legion Companion app. The quests could not be done through the app, but players will see the available quests that will be waiting for them once they log back in to World of Warcraft.

The World of Warcraft: Legion Companion app is free to download at Apple's App Store for iOS devices and at the Google Play Store for Android devices. An internet connection is required to access the app, along with the player's World of Warcraft account credentials.

World of Warcraft: Legion wastes no time in putting players front and center after a flashy cinematic that introduces the expansion. The real draws of the expansion are the artifacts and class halls, and gamers will be able to take more control over their adventures using the World of Warcraft: Legion Companion app.
