Gamers in the U.S. can celebrate this Labor Day weekend with discounts on a number of video game titles for the Sony PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Microsoft Xbox One.
Here are some deals offered by Walmart on some of the most popular video game titles.
Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V
The open world action-adventure video game has been developed by Rockstar. In September 2013, the game was initially released for the Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) and Xbox 360. GTA V was released for the PS4 and Xbox One in November 2015.
GTA V for PS4 and Xbox One features a new First Person Mode, which gives players the chance to explore the incredibly detailed world of Los Santos and Blaine County in an entirely new way in Story Mode as well as GTA Online.
The original price tag of the game is $59.96 but as part of the Labor Day deal Walmart is offering the PS4 version for $38.87 and the Xbox One version for $39.41.
Street Fighter V
The fighting video game is the fifth major entry in the Street Fighter title. Developed and published by Capcom, Street Fighter V was released for PS4 and PC in February. The title is currently not available for Xbox One.
The original cost of Street Fighter V is $59.99, but Walmart is offering $20 discount on the game, which brings down the cost to $39.99.
Batman: Arkham Knight
The DC Comics' superhero Batman based video game is the successor of Batman: Arkham Origins. Launched in June 2015, Batman: Arkham Knight is developed by Rocksteady Studios and the title is available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The original price of the game is $59.99, but as for Labor Day weekend, Walmart is offering a massive discount of $41 for the Xbox One and PS4 version, this brings down the price of the game to $18.99.
Madden NFL 17
The American football game is based on the National Football League (NFL). Developed by EA Tiburon, Madden NFL 17 is the 28th installment in the Madden NFL series.
The game was released for a number of video game consoles including the PS4 and Xbox One in August. As one of the newest games, Walmart is not offering any discount this Labor Day weekend. Gamers will have to pay the regular $59.88 for the PS4 and Xbox One versions.
However, those interested in Madden NFL 16 could grab a copy from Walmart for $19.39.
NBA 2K16
The basketball simulation video game has been developed by Visual Concepts. The game was released across a number of gaming platforms, including PS4 and Xbox One, in September 2015.
It is a good time to purchase NBA 2K16 because Walmart has reduced the price of the title from $59.88 to $19.39 for both the Xbox One and PS4.
Forza Motorsport 6
The racing video game has been developed by Turn 10 Studios and published by Microsoft. Forza Motorsport 6 was globally released for the Xbox One and PC in September 2015. The game is not available for PS3 nor PS4.
The retail price of Forza Motorsport 6 at Walmart is $59.96, but this Labor Day weekend customers can grab a copy of the title for $43.99.
