Apple has rolled out iOS 9.3.5 that patches up a major vulnerability, advising every iPhone user out there to install the update as soon as possible to steer clear of the exploit.
For those who don't know, the malware is spread using text messages with a link. If a user clicks on it, the hackers will have the ability to control or monitor the device remotely. More than that, they can also track the smartphone's location, get copies of stored files, record calls even when they're made using apps with end-to-end encryption and access the mic and camera.
The update is now live, and to make sure that everyone installs it without a hitch, here are two quick ways to do it:
How To Install iOS 9.3.5 Via Software Update

Step 1: Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
Step 2: Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
Step 3: Connect the iPhone via a Lightning to USB cable.
Step 4: On iTunes, you should find a device icon located at the top-left corner. Hint: It looks like an iPhone. If there's no problem here, click on it.
Step 5: Click on Check for Update.
Step 6: Click on Download and Update.
Step 7: Click on Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Step 8: Type in your Passcode if iTunes asks for it.
