Lenovo has released a new IFA video teaser that shows several bendable devices, which could be launched in the near term.
The 2016 IFA kicks off in early September and Lenovo seems all prepared to unveil new products at the event. The Chinese company has an event planned for Aug. 31 where visitors will be able to get a glimpse of what the company is working on.
"Join us August 31, as better reveals itself from the incremental to the incredible. From a new chapter in tablets. To new Moto mods. From devices that blur the lines of creativity and productivity to a whole new kind of intuitive keyboard," says Lenovo.
The video teaser shows several bendable devices, which are likely in development as this is not the first time Lenovo has teased users with a bendable device.
Wearables such as smartwatches and fitness trackers have attracted a large number of consumers across the world. Many manufacturers already have several wearables available in the market for a few years now. Wearables can be paired with other devices, such as smartphones, to enhance the overall user experience.
Lenovo, meanwhile, is planning to merge the smartphone and smartwatch technology. During the Lenovo Tech World event in San Francisco in early June, the OEM took the opportunity to demonstrate a few concept devices called the CPlus and Folio, which is both a smartphone and a wearable.
The CPlus device can be held and tapped just like a regular smartphone, but users can also bend and wrap it around their wrist. During the demonstration, a Lenovo executive bent the device, which then displayed a shattered glass or cracked look.
The CPlus had a 4.26-inch flexible display and previous reports suggest it may come in a wide array of colors to suit personal preference.
Visitors at the 2016 IFA should expect a little more from Lenovo as the 50-second video clip says to expect "better" everything, including new tablets and Moto Mods.
The teaser also gives a glimpse of a keyboard concept and productivity products. In addition, Lenovo included a number of Moto 360 shots in the clip, which hints that the company may announce the third-gen Moto 360 at the event. The second-gen Moto 360 was announced at the 2015 IFA, which makes it highly likely for Lenovo to unveil its successor at this year's IFA.
Customers will have to wait another few weeks for Lenovo's plans for the upcoming IFA.
