Traveling on Thanksgiving Day can be daunting, but Google wants it to become a breeze. Apart from exploring zoos and islands, Google Street View now lets you explore transit locations like airports, train stations and subway stations in the U.S. and around the world.
Google said it has added 16 international airports, more than 50 train and subway stations, and even a cable car station in Hong Kong, to explore virtually. Want more? It also gives you a peek inside airplanes so that you get to know which seat you have booked.
The move is aimed at giving travelers a preview of their journey and helping them familiarize themselves with transit locations.
Google in its blog post said that these were the first steps in its efforts to map global transit locations. It means hopefully we will see more of these transportation hubs available for virtual exploration in Google Street View.
