HyperX has officially announced the new CloudX Revolver Gears of War gaming headset, and it's just the thing to complement the new blood-red Gears of War 4 Xbox One S Bundle and the Crimson Omen controller, making for one heck of a set.
In collaboration with Microsoft and The Coalition, the developer of the upcoming third-person shooter, the manufacturer mixed in all the right stuff to give the product a "gritty, battle-weathered design," capturing the essence of the game. No wonder it goes so well with the special edition console.
"HyperX is excited to be working with Microsoft to offer gamers a headset that enhances their Gears of War gaming experience. Working with them and The Coalition, we are able to bring our signature HyperX comfort and sound quality along with bold Gears styling to Xbox One gamers and Gears fans alike," Daniel Kelley, marketing director at HyperX, says.
Going over some of the nitty-gritty details really quick, the CloudX Revolver Gears of War is rated to have a sound pressure level of 104.5 dB SPL and a frequency response of 12 Hz to 28,000 Hz.
The cable sports audio controls, allowing wearers to easily mute the detachable noise-cancelling mic and adjust the volume as needed without having to go to the settings on the Xbox every time.
On top of that, it features a frame made out of durable steel to ensure that it lasts long, and the speakers are fitted with top-of-the-line memory foam to guarantee the players' comfort even during long hours of gaming.
The headset will debut at the Comic-Con International 2016 that's going to be held on July 20 in San Diego, and fans who attend the event will get the chance to preorder the CloudX Revolver Gears of War via the Xbox booth courtesy of GameStop.
Availability-wise, it's expected to hit the shelves on Sept. 9 along with a price tag of $149.99, according to the retailer's listing.
It's also worth mentioning that the $199 Gears of War 4 Limited Edition Xbox One Elite controller is now up for preorder too, and it's slated to roll out on Oct. 4. That means anyone who's planning to up their game in anticipation of the shooter's launch can go ahead and get their hands on it before then.
