A gameplay video for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered offers a look at what players can expect when the game drops alongside Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in November, showcasing the makeover it's undergoing.
The remastered version was confirmed in April, with the official trailer landing soon after. The trailer already gave a glimpse of the improvements Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was going to have, but this new video that features the game's second chapter, the "Crew Expendable" mission, provides a closer look at how more seamless everything has become.
For comparison, below is a playthrough of the mission on the original 2007 game:
In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, the original game's full campaign will be featured, as well as the classic multiplayer action that accompanies 10 multiplayer maps from the original game, like Crossfire, Backlot and Crash.
Again, the game will come with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, but it won't be available as a stand-alone. Rather, the remastered version of the original will be a digital download included in any of Infinite Warfare's editions: Legacy, Digital Delux and Legacy Pro.
Other than not being available on disc, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will essentially be the same as the original game, including its movement system. There might not be as many people playing Modern Warfare as the ones on the other Call of Duty titles given the game's age, but a resurgence may be expected since it has been improved to look like a title for current-gen machines. Dedicated servers will be set up so players don't have to worry about gameplay problems.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Recently, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 received a major update for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ahead of the Descent DLC release by Treyarch. The update preps the base game and all prior content for Black Ops 3's third DLC, unlocking the new Fracture game mode and adding first-party functionality for the PSN Play Together feature. It also comes with four new map packs for multiplayer mode and the Gorod Krovi map pack for Zombie play. Players can expect group mechanics to change as well, with membership count bumped to a maximum of 100,000.
The update for the PS4 requires about 1.14 GB of HD space, while the Xbox One version calls for 1.6 GB.
