Tesla CEO Elon Musk Tweets That A 'Masterplan' Is In The Works

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is reportedly working on some "Masterplan" to keep Tesla Motors afloat in spite of harrowing headlines the past couple of weeks.

The CEO took to Twitter to unofficially announce that the automotive company is working on some new strategy, due for publication later this week. In the post, he hints about a "Top Secret Tesla Masterplan, Part 2," which in some way still reflects the CEO's candid sense of humor; he's been known to come up with "creative" ways of marketing the company's latest plans.

While seemingly refreshing in an enterprise world where everyone means serious business, the wording of the tweet actually alludes to a predated blog post by the company, written by none other than Elon Musk — the "Part 2" is included there for a reason, after all.

Way back in 2006, the Tesla CEO blogged about the company's upcoming projects, labeled "Secret Tesla Motors Master Plan (just between you and me)." In this post, he described ongoing plans for the company to completely go green, covering most, if not all, of the company's infrastructure, power plants and future manufactured vehicles. This will then introduce us to the current Tesla Model S and Tesla 3 sports sedan, as well as company expansions in the recent years.

If "Part 2" stays true to its previous context, then the company might possibly introduce a new form of vehicle in the coming days.

However, the facts say this is highly unlikely.

Tesla Motors has seen a general downward trend in the stock market recently, going as low as about 15 percent since April. While a new car model may build a hype and reinvigorate this area to some extent, the fact of the matter is, ultimately, this will do no good for the company's current image in the industry.

Tesla Motors is still facing some serious allegations pertaining to the reliability of its autopilot technology. In recent weeks, two car incidents have been tied to the company, resulting in some inadvertent negative flak from consumers and the automotive community. One incident caused the first self-driving car fatality, and it's produced quite an alarming amount of concern; the tech's still a fledgling and needs dire improvement after all.

As such, this leads us to speculate that the top secret masterplan will address these issues and involve some kind of innovative solution to avoid further unwanted casualties. If not, Tesla Motors might as well say goodbye to its ever-supportive fan base.

Elon Musk, we're counting on you.
