June has been a pretty good month for Android users because of all the apps that went up at the Play Store, not to mention that Android 7.0 officially got named Nougat.
Now that July has started, a new set of apps are about to make their way, but before they make the headlines, here's a look back at the downloadable goodies that fans of the OS will likely not want to miss out on:
Remember Twitch? Well, Mobcrush more or less offers the same deal, but it's focused on the smartphone and tablet side of things. That means users can share live streams of their mobile games or apps and view streams of other users on the platform.
Before anyone says otherwise, BitTorrent Now doesn't have anything to do with piracy. Of course, the people behind it are the developers who brought the popular file-sharing app BitTorrent.
With this app at hand, users stand to discover a lot of great underground musicians or filmmakers. It makes things easier too, as it has sections that feature artists who deserve attention for their work.
As everyone probably knows already, Google Expeditions takes students and teachers alike on field trips in virtual reality via Cardboard. It's a powerful education tool that enriches the whole learning experience of schoolchildren.
The Mountain View company introduced the project last year, and it has finally rolled it out back in June.
Needless to say, fans of the cable network are going to have a blast with Adult Swim Keyboard, as it has a ton of familiar emoji, soundboard bites and GIF versions of some of the scenes from various shows, including Rick and Morty, Robot Chicken and The Venture Bros., to name a few.
Just as Sony promised, PlayStation Vue landed on Android devices one week after it became available on Roku. As for what it exactly is, it's the company's attempt to step into the TV service scene, offering movies and live TV shows such as Disney, FX, TBS, Cartoon Network and many others.
There you have it — some of the recent and most interesting Android apps that you can download from the Play Store. On that note, it should be cleared up that you can get ahold of each one without forking over a dime.
