Since the development of mobile technologies, writing a quick note on a Post-it is becoming more obsolete. But 3M, the company behind Post-it, just launched an iOS app that is bringing the neon-colored sticky, square of paper back to life.
The Post-it Plus App allows users to photograph their collection of Post-its, sort them out by tapping on the screen and organizing them on their iPhones or iPads before exporting them to apps like PowerPoint, Excel and Dropbox.
"The Post-it Plus App takes the momentum from your collaboration sessions and keeps it rolling," says the app's description. "Simply capture your notes, organize and share with everyone. That way your great ideas don't stop when the meeting ends."
3M is bringing the sticky notes to techies on the go, with the hopes that Post-it lovers stick to the product. Post-its of any size -- as long as they're square -- are recognized by the app, as well as Mac OS Stickies if you capture an image of them from a desktop.
While the tech-savvy smartphone users tend to write notes on their mobile devices, the app aims to help workaholics and other creatives to easily document important information.
After capturing a photo of the Post-it Notes, the user can create a digital board where they can uncheck notes they don't want to save. Users can arrange groups of notes and arrange them in horizontal or vertical patterns on their viral Post-it board by simply tapping and dragging the notes.
The neon notes can be brightened, favored, edited and deleted. All notes can be shared through text, email or other social media apps. The app is free to download from iTunes.
